Placeholder Heathrow Airport scene
This incident caused the temporary shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

Two more people are now in custody in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
